William F. Buckley, one of the greatest and most articulate conservative minds ever to put pen to paper
Are you a conservative writer in need of a forum?
The Democratic Tribune is accepting articles from conservative citizen journalists regarding the issues of our time. Do you have a bone to pick with the Democratic Party regarding how it is running our great nation? Are your principled dissents falling on deaf ears?
No matter what the issue, we want to hear your voice. The only preconditions we are placing on this opportunity are as follows:
1. Keep it civil. There are endless flame forums out there to vent and spew words of hatred. This is not one of them. Be witty, be articulate. Heck, be downright passionate! Just don't be classless and hate-filled, or you will not be published on this website.
2. If you are going to quote, you must cite your sources or you will not be published. APA, MLA, it doesn't matter which form you use. Just cite it.
3. When possible, offer alternatives to accompany your criticism. If we are sure of anything, it is that more people are converted to your ideology when you articulate clear and concise policy solutions. We may not have agreed with everything Presidents Reagan and Clinton believed, but only a fool didn't admire the quality of their policy formulations and the greatness of their deliveries.
There you have it, folks. The ball is now in your court. We know that as conservatives, you get frustrated with the "liberal" media and your inability to consistently get your message out anywhere but on talk radio. This is your chance to take the stage on a mostly progressive website. Please email all articles in Word (2003 or earlier, please) or PDF format to:
